How the 2025 NFL Draft Could Reshape the League for Years to Come So the 2025 NFL Draft is in the books. All the selections have been made and it will have major ramifications on the league. Who will be the next stars? Who will be a draft bust? Only time will tell. But until then - let's pick some arbitrary winners and losers - as if I know what the future holds! Winners  Tyler Warren Warren received a call when the Jets were on the clock at No.7 overall. This call is the realisation of a lifelong dream for every player entering the draft. It is a significant moment where everything you have worked for comes to fruition. You're officially in the NFL. The thing you always dreamt of. Then you realise it's a prank call. Everything you felt is a lie and someone is messing with you. Getting "The Call" and told you had realised a lifelong dream only to then realise it was a prank call doesn't sound like much of a win.  But not actually having to play for the Jets......

So, Round One Came and Went… A 1am start here in the UK, which was… fun. The first pick went pretty much how everyone expected. Then came the shock trade between the Browns at No. 2 and the Jags at No. 5, which shook things up a bit. But even with the drama, Travis Hunter still went at No. 2, just as most of us predicted. Then Adbul Carter at 3. No shocks really. Now...... the Rams. It was a long wait until pick 26. A loooong wait — until about 4am. Joy! And then… they traded out! Honestly, I can’t even be mad. I half expected them to pull this move. But the haul they got back? Better than I anticipated. Here’s the breakdown: Rams receive: Pick 46 Pick 242 2026 1st Rounder Falcons receive: Pick 26 Pick 101 This was too good a trade for the Rams to turn down, and it tells us two things: 1. The Rams made some serious progress in the 2024 season. Not many people expected them to be a playoff team, nevermind coming as close as they did.
